Hi all Readme.me Folks!

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Aun and my pen name used in writing travel review is ABout...I love to travel and this is the very first time that I have got a chance to share my travel experience through writing.

Today, I will take you to Via Del Corso - the main shopping street right in the middle of Rome. Via Del Corso is about 1.5-kilometer long. One end of the street is at Piazza Venezia while another end is at Piazza del Popolo. Well, I choose to walk from Piazza Venezia to Piazza del Popolo this time and if you are ready, let's go!

This is our starting point of today's trip at Piazza Venezia.

The street right in front of us is Via Del Corso, our main destination of today. Even though Via Del Corso is known as the famous shopping street, it also offers many tourist attractions all along. Let's see what we will experience this time!

You are able to see the iconic Colosseum from Piazza Venezia as well.

This is the ambiance around Piazza Venezia.

Once you start to walk into Via Del Corso, you will be attracted to Palazzo Doria Pamphilj on your left-hand side firstly. Palazzo Doria Pamphilj is a house of Doria Pamphilj Gallery where you need an admission ticket to get in.

Via Del Corso is always crowded and you can see a lot of things all along such as horse carriage, churches, restaurants, museums, cafes, and leather stalls.

After walking for a while, you will approach Piazza Colonna which is another main tourist spot on the street. This is where the beautiful Column of Marcus Aurelius and a small fountain are.

There is Galleria Alberto Sordi on the opposite site of Piazza Colonna. It is a shopping complex full with cafe and shops. Don't forget to go inside because the hall of Galleria Alberto Sordi is amazingly beautiful. There is also La Rinascente, an upscale department store owned by Central Retail Corporation from Thailand. Therefore, you can use The 1 Card to collect the point here for your purchasing.

There are tons of shops on both sides of the street. If you are tired from shopping, you can grab some snacks, have some ice cream, or chill by observing the local artists working on their artworks.

ABout Travel Tips:

For those who want to travel and shop cheaply in Rome at the same time, I highly recommend you to come during sales seasons. There are 2 sales seasons a year including Winter Sales (January - February) and Summer Sales (July - August). All the shops will have their merchandises discounted from 20% to 75% for entirely 6 weeks.

After enjoying a walk through Via Del Corso, you will arrive at Piazza del Popolo. Although Via Del Corso is not that long, with its unique charm you will definitely love it and find it very enjoyable. This is one of the reasons why it is always full with both locals and tourists.
